Today on 1st July National Doctors Day was celebrated in Govt Hospital Gandhi Nagar Jammu. Worthy Director General Health and Family Welfare /DHS Jammu along with other dignitaries graced the occasion with their presence. Also team from Inner Wheel Club facilitated doctors of Gandhi Nagar hospital by giving momentos .Students participated in the event through Nukkad Natak ,speech and dance performance. Thank you speech by Worthy Medical Superintendent Gandhinagar Hospital was delivered followed by Hi tea program.

Under the banner 'Azadi ka amrut mahotsava '8th International Yoga Day was celebrated with the theme 'Yoga for humanity' following CYP(common Yoga protocol)issued by MoA(Ministry of Ayush)at Govt Hospital Gandhi Nagar Jammu. Students and staff participated with enthusiasm after which refreshment was also offered.

On the eve of 8th International Yoga Day today yoga session as per schedule was conducted for pregnant ladies by the staff of Ayush unit Govt Hospital Gandhi Nagar Jammu. A lecture on benefits of yoga for pregnant ladies was delivered by Dr Sonika Gupta M.O Ayush . Dr Nidhi Sharma Demonstrated Various pranayama techniques which are useful for pregnant ladies. Today World Blood Donor Day was observed in Govt. Hospital Gandhi Nagar Jammu. On this occasion students from various paramedical colleges participated by raising slogans ,chart presentation and debate on the same. Further, awareness lecture on blood donation and how it can be beneficial was delivered by the staff of the hospital .
Number of students registered for blood donation were 24

As on 9th of every month is onserved for PMSMA. Today ,Supraja programme was launched by the staff of Govt Ayurvedic Hospital and the staff of Ayush unit Govt. Hospital Gandhi Nagar Jammu. Lectures were delivered by the Medical Superintendent Govt. Ayurvedic Hospital Jammu. Dr. Vandana Dogra , Dr.Aruna Bhat ,Dr.Arun on the details of Supraja programme. Dr. Nidhi sharma advised various pranayam techniques to pregnant ladies. Today" World No Tobacco Day" was observed in Govt. Hospital Gandhi Nagar Jammu. On this occasion students from different paramedical colleges participated. A rally was organised which was flagged off by esteemed Mayor Sh. Chander Mohan Gupta , Medical Superintendent Dr. Narinder Bhatial and other dignitaries. The route of rally was from front side of the hospital emergency gate passing through gole market and back to the hospital followed by refreshment to all. Also Slogans were raised to generate awareness among general public on quitting tobacco usage and save life thus save planet. Today on 28th May 'World Menstrual Hygiene Day 'was observed in Govt.Hospital Gandhi Nagar. The aim for this celebration was to generate awareness not only among women but also men on women's health and hygiene that somehow effects Mental health of a women. Doctors, Staff and Students participated in this campaign through following activities:1. Chart display 2.Nukkad Natak 3. Awareness lecture 4.Debate Also sanitary napkins were distributed among the needy.

On national Dengue day Govt HospitalBlood component Unit in which 4 components i.e.PRBC(PCV), platelets,FFP and cryoprecipitate will be prepared from single unit of blood.Thus 4 patients will be benefited by the single donor.

On 17th May 2022 World Hypertension Day was celebrated in Govt.Hospital Gandhi Nagar. Different activities were organised on this day that included BP monitoring at each level of the hospital, pamphlets distribution for take away home awareness on Hypertension it's cause and prevention.Also awareness lecture on the sign, symptoms ,prevention and cure by Doctors and GNH Staff was delivered.

Celebrating 2nd day of World Health Day in hospital with the aim to bring awareness on how to keep healthy body by keeping planet healthy highlighting the theme "Our Planet Our Health" .Today's focus was on plantation .Ornamental Plants were presented to to the doctors and staff so as to start the drive from our home itself .Students participated by preparing charts and debate.
